Allergy and asthma treatment in New York - Bruce S. Dobozin, M.D. - Allergist in NY    National Jewish Medical and Research Center

Bruce S. Dobozin, M.D., Allergy & Asthma - an educational affiliate of the National Jewish Medical & Research Center - is dedicated to providing diagnosis and treatment of allergies for Brooklyn, NY, and in the Hudson Valley, in Woodstock and the surrounding Ulster County communities of Kingston, New Paltz, Rhinebeck and Phoenica. We treat each patient as a partner and make patient education a central component of medical care. Sensitivity and discretion are used in handling all of our patients' concerns.

We specialize in asthma and allergic diseases in all age groups. Our knowledgable, dedicated staff conducts ongoing patient education, particularly with our asthma patients, to provide the tools necessary to lead normal lives. Our goal is to teach patients to take charge of their asthma and/or allergies so that these illnesses do not take charge of their lives.

Since 1998, Dr. Dobozin's offices in NYC and the Hudson Valley (Ulster County) were among several practices across the United States named as educational affiliates of the National Jewish Medical and Research Center of Denver - the global leader in lung, allergic, and immune diseases. The National Jewish Medical and Research Center has been named the number 1 hospital in the United States for respiratory diseases by "U.S. News & World Report" for the past 10 years. This prestigious affiliation allows our practice to provide comprehensive patient education, as well as to conduct lung function screening programs for the community, seminars for the public, and to participate in clinical trials for new allergy and asthma treatments.

Allergies: The Complete Guide to Diagnosis, Treatment, and Daily Management

The second revised edition of Dr. Dobozin's book entitled: "Allergies: The Complete Guide to Diagnosis, Treatment, and Daily Management" has just been published by Penguin/Putnam Books (Plume Division). This book is the most comprehensive book on allergies and asthma available to the lay person, and even primary care physicians find it useful to update their knowledge of allergies. It is available through retail bookstores, Internet bookstores (Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com offer it at a 20% discount), or by calling the publisher at 800.526.0275.
