The offices of Bruce S. Dobozin, MD, Allergy & Asthma are the NYC affiliate of the world renowned National Jewish Health of Denver (formerly known as National Jewish Hospital/National Asthma Center of Denver and where Dr Dobozin trained) - and are dedicated to providing diagnosis and treatment of allergies and asthma. Doctor Dobozin is a Board Certified allergist (allergy doctor) and asthma specialist (asthma doctor). He is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Our offices are located in Manhattan in New York City and in the mid-Hudson Valley Town of Woodstock. We make patient education a central component of our care as it is the patient that ultimately must learn to control his/her allergies on a daily basis. This goal of patient education has been greatly enhanced by the publication of a book co-authored by Dr. Dobozin, entitled "Allergies: The Complete Guide to Diagnosis, Treatment and Daily Management". This book was first published by Consumer Reports Books and the third edition was recently published after a complete revision by Dr. Dobozin and his co-author, Dr. Stuart Young. Dr Dobozin is a Board Certified allergy and asthma specialist. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and allergic diseases in all age groups. Our knowledgeable, dedicated staff conducts ongoing patient education, particularly with our asthma patients, to provide the tools necessary to lead normal lives. Our goal is to teach patients to take charge of their asthma and/or allergies so that these illnesses do not take charge of their lives.
Since 1998, Doctor Dobozin's offices in NYC (Manhattan and formerly Brooklyn) and the Mid-Hudson Valley (Ulster County) were among several allergy and asthma specialist practices across the United States named as Educational affiliates of the world renowned National Jewish Health of Denver - the global leader in lung, allergic, and immune diseases. This prestigious affiliation allows our allergy and asthma practice to provide comprehensive patient education, as well as to conduct pulmonary (lung) function screening programs for the community, seminars for the public, and to participate in clinical trials for new allergy and asthma treatments.
Our offices serve New York City (Manhattan), and the mid-Hudson Valley, in Woodstock and the surrounding Ulster County, Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, and Sullivan County communities of Kingston, New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck, Margaretville, Red Hook, Stone Ridge, Catskill, Hudson, Kerhonkson, and Phoenicia.
